Teens

Slammed doors, screaming, late nights; these are all too common scenes in households around the country. Parents fighting with their teenagers is very common; we see it on television and movies constantly. However, there is another level of discord that becomes so disruptive to the entire family, and so worrisome for parents, that professional help is needed.

Perhaps you have the opposite problem. Your once talkative and happy child has become a distant and withdrawn teenager. While this is also common in adolescence, it can be troublesome as well. You may have concerns about what your teenager is doing in their free time, how school is going, and just how they are feeling, but be unable to get any answers. I want to help bridge the gap of communication between you and your child. Your teenager may find it a welcome relief to have an impartial mediator to talk to about their feelings and emotions.

There are many temptations and scary situations in the world for teenagers today. I want to help you navigate the waters of growing up. It is not a smooth road for many, and spending time with a counselor can be healthy for your teenager’s emotional and psychological health, as well as for your relationship.
