You can learn to surf.

A wise person once said,

“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.”

To be human is to face challenges—both the ones that rise within us and the ones that come from the world around us. We can’t always control the waves, but we can learn how to meet them with steadiness and grace. When we do, life no longer feels like something happening to us—it becomes something we can move with, cultivating more freedom, peace, and joy along the way.

That’s what we do here.

Our therapists partner with you as compassionate collaborators, offering evidence-based tools and embodied practices that help you release old burdens, strengthen your balance, and find your center.

From that grounded place, clarity begins to emerge naturally—and life starts to feel less like survival and more like a ride worth savoring.

FAQ’S

Payment/Insurance

We currently do not take any insurance, but are able to provide a superbill for each client to work with their own insurance company for reimbursement.

We offer sliding scale payment options for those who cannot afford standard rates.  These payments are based upon household size and family income.  Please contact us for information regarding the current sliding scale rates.

Session length and frequency

Most sessions are 50 minutes in length, unless you have scheduled a trauma-resolution session with your therapist which are 75 minutes long.

How often you have a session is something that you will collaborate on with your therapist to determine your needs at this time. In general, our counselors jobs are to “work themselves out of a job” and so often the rhythm that works is beginning with weekly sessions, moving towards bi-weekly sessions, and into occasional maintenance check-ins.
